Postcard FXBack to maker

Effective August 28, 2026

Your camera stays yours.

Postcard FX processes camera frames in your browser. We do not receive, upload, identify, sell, or train on your face or finished images.

Camera access

Camera access begins only after you press “Use my camera” and grant browser permission. Video is used locally to draw the preview and exported PNG. Audio is never requested. The camera stops when you close or leave the page and after a postcard is made.

Face positioning

Where supported, your browser’s on-device Face Detector finds a coarse face box so shapes can follow the portrait. Postcard FX does not perform identity recognition and does not store face positions. Browsers without that capability use the visible centered guide.

Data on your device

The latest finished postcard is stored in IndexedDB and preferences are stored in localStorage so a refresh does not lose your work. You can delete the postcard in the app or clear the site’s browser data. Export and import tools let you own a portable backup.

Network and analytics

The app has no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party scripts, or runtime content delivery networks. A hosting provider may retain standard security logs such as IP address, URL, and timestamp for operational protection.

Offline use

A service worker caches the app shell and abstract preview artwork on your device. Removing the installed app or clearing site data removes those caches.
